It was her passion for food and her intuitive sense of the marketplace that inspired Susan Axelrod to introduce quiche to a world unfamiliar with its rich textures and elegant flavors. Since setting up shop in her small family kitchen over thirty-five years ago, the company she named Love and Quiches has become synonymous not only with quiche, but especially with delicious desserts of extraordinary quality, today served in restaurants in all corners of the globe.

Susan’s children remember coming home from school and cracking fresh eggs as their part in what was fast becoming the family business. Susan drove her van between her home and New York City, wholesaling her quiches to one restaurant, one gourmet shop at a time. Before long, quiche became a restaurant staple. Desserts followed – at a customer’s request for sweets to equal the quality of her now famous quiches. The business outgrew the kitchen, the garage, a small, local storefront, and our first factory, growing steadily over the decades to its present state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

As Love and Quiches Desserts has continued to grow in size and capability, our passion for food and our commitment to excellence is reflected in the quality and consistency of our products. We continue to uphold a longstanding tradition of scratch baking, utilizing Old World recipes. Our Dessert Partner® philosophy engages our customers in consultative, long-term relationships, many of which span 25 years or more, a testimony to our success. Our outstanding roster of leading Foodservice Operators, Food Retailers and Distributors worldwide grows larger each year.
